Ive never personally tried this all myself before but I thought Id give it a bash, I decided to try and create the backgrounds for my finals with acrylics paints. Id taken most inspiration for Van Goth who is one of my favourite artists. I then scanned these in and did what I could with them. I will definitely be trying this technique again as it gives a really amazing texture to some illustrations.
the blue background looks like the perfect storm and is my fav. and yes i can see the van Gough influence here :)
